What is a Rally?

If you have never rallied before we are sure you will enjoy it.

We have members in the club who have been rallying for 40 years and younger members who are just starting out.

Most weekend rallies are within County Durham and Northumberland as you will find on our programme for 2007.

A normal weekend will start on the Friday after 4pm.

The weekend is free for you to do whatever you want, we usually get together on a Saturday for a Barbecue at about 5pm and later in the evening we get together in the rally marshals awning. It is not compulsory to join in but we find it the ideal way to meet new friends.

The Sunday morning you are welcome to join the coffee morning where the rally marshal provides coffee and biscuits. Except with Bank Holidays most rallies will finish on the Sunday but it depends on the weather and other commitments as to what time most members will go home.

As we use farmers fields generally there are no facilities for hook ups or toilets although there is always a fresh water point and chemical toilet emptying points.

With modern caravans who needs these facilities.

In 2003 we also started a series of Winter Walks, these were 4 to 6 miles on a Sunday morning.
